If all dealerships were ordered to not only post car buying information for every car, but also a car buying price guide that their customers would have free access to there would be no need to worry that they are taking advantage of us. Remember no matter how trustworthy they seem and no matter how bad you want to be able to trust them, it is there job to sell you a car at a higher price than the book is asking. They do this not because they are bad people but because they get to keep any extra money that they make over the book price. Think about this commission thing a little bit more. If the salesperson made no commission how much less would they pressure you into buying something that you are not sure you are interested in? More than likely things in the car buying industry will not be changing anytime soon. Just remember to be careful and do your research and you will be fine.
